Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion of Assam Rifles foiled cross-border narcotics trafficking at Tengnoupal on Saturday and seized drugs worth Rs 7.5 cr.
Assam Rifles official said during routine checking at Mobile Vehicle Check Post, Tengnoupal troops of Assam Rifles recovered 15 packets containing banned 1,50000 WIY tablets from a vehicle.
The recovered narcotics were assessed to be worth Rs 7.5 Crore.
The seized narcotics along with the vehicle and the drug peddler were handed over to Tengnoupal Police for further investigation.Â
