Ukhrul: The first round of 285 women polling personnel training was given in view of the ensuing state assembly election 2022 for the three assembly constituencies of Ukhurl and Kamjong Districts combined, at DRDA training hall, Mini Secretariat, Ukhrul, Monday.
The DEO, Ukhrul & Kamjong is estimated to deploy 1533 polling officers for 219 polling stations out of which there will be likely 45 women polling stations.
The training today included audio-visual demonstrations on the duties of the polling personnel and hands-on training on use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) by the masters trainers. Meanwhile, CMO, Ukhrul District under the Ministry of Health Soceity initiated Covid19 vaccination to the polling officers present for Monday’s training.
Show cause notices have been sent to the absentees of the training for appropriate action as per the MCC rules.
