Imphal: Manipur recorded two Covid related deaths, 19 new positive cases and 18 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal West and Thoubal. With this the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1970, Out of the two who expired Saturday, one had co-morbidities while both of them had not been vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 19 persons who tested positive from the general population, 11 are from Imphal West, seven from Imphal East and one from Churachandpur.
Altogether, 1,522 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 1.2 %.
Meanwhile, 18 persons recovered and were discharged, one of them from home isolation, 13 from CCCs and two each from JNIMS and RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.89 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,117 out of which 1,22,474 have recovered leaving 673 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 25, 2021, is 5,302, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,32,564 (1st dose 12,76,019, 2nd dose 8,56,515).
