Guwahati: Assam has recorded 92 more deaths due to COVID 19 infection in the last twenty four hours as it registered 5,767 new positive cases during the same time.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,14,315 tests. The overall positivity percentage of the state stood at 5.04% on Tuesday.
The Covid19 recovery rate in Assam stood at 84.84 per cent.
Meanwhile, Dibrugarh district administration has made it mandatory for citizens above 40 years to undergo Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to Covid19 vaccination from today.
Till date, there are 11 micro containment zones and 4 big containment zones in Dibrugarh district.
