IMPHAL: Manipur registered two Covid related deaths, 55 new positive cases (52 general population, 3 CAPF) and 61 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm on Monday, as per an official release from the health department.
The two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal West and Imphal East. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,925. Both of them had co-morbidities and both of them had not been vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 52 persons who tested positive from the general population, 31 of them are from Imphal West, eight from Tengnoupal, seven from Imphal East, two each from Ulhrul, Thoubal and Chandel and one each from Bishnupur, Noney and Kakching.
Altogether, 1,834 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 3.0 %.
Meanwhile, 61 persons recovered and were discharged, 13 of them from home isolation, 40 from CCCs, and eight from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,842 out of which 1,21,213 have recovered leaving 704 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 1, 2021, is 8,574, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,77,481(1st dose 12,50,254, 2nd dose 7,27,227).
