4th Edition of ‘Meeyamgi Numit’ held in Ukhrul district

Ukhrul: The Ukhrul District Administration has successfully organised it’s 4th edition of District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit under the banner of the State Government’s objective to make the governance more citizen centric, proactive and programme implementation effective at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul today.

District Health Society, District Agriculture, District Social Welfare, ICDS, CAF& PD, Handloom & Textiles, District Social Welfare, District Industrial Corporation and ZEO were some of the major line department among 28 departments present. In the event of the programme, grievances of each applicant were initially received and heard by Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul,  Krishna Kumar in the presence of SP Ningshem Vashum, CEO Peter Kashungnao, ADM Chunglenmang and DFO Shanngam.  After consultations, applicants were later sent to the concerned departmental heads for resolution.

In the event, the DC of Ukhrul distributed kits to 5 female child and their mothers and 12 adolescent girls were sanitary pads under the initiative program of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The District Integrated Child Protection Services( ICPS) also gave out financial benefits of rs. 2000/- per year scholarship to 40 school going children below 18 years of age who are from the poorer section of the society. 

Meanwhile, the District Health Society issued 21 Birth & Death, 3 disability certificates, 9 CMHT, 2 PMJAY, 3 PMEGP cards. They also facilitated Covid19 vaccinations and blood sugar test on the spot. The District Social Welfare received 14 old-age pension applications. The District Revenue issued 14 minority certificates.

Of the 107 public who attended Friday’s event, 36 local/ villages were registered and 78 applications applied. There were 22 departments participating in the programme. The district administration will hold its next program on the third Friday of December.
