12 new Covid-19 positive cases Friday in Manipur

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Friday, Manipur saw 12 persons from the general population testing Covid-19 positive while 8 persons recovered, as per an official release Covid-19 Common Control Room.

During the same period, there was no report of any death, the state’s cumulative death toll stands at 375 and the recovery rate at 98.41%.

Of the 12 persons (3 male, 9 female) from the general population, 7 of them are from Imphal West, 3 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Imphal East and Senapati.

The 8 persons who recovered include 4 who were on home isolation and 4 cases transferred outside the state.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,475(General Population — 26,025 and Central Security Personnel — 3,452). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,009 (General Population — 25,572 and CAPF— 3,437). The number of active cases is 90 (general population 80 and CAPF 11).

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 8, is 722 and the cumulative vaccination number is 91272, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31904 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
