Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Saturday, 10 persons from the general population and 1 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) tested Covid-19 positive while 1 person recovered in Manipur, as per an official release Covid-19 Common Control Room.
During the same period, there was no report of any death; the state’s cumulative death toll stands at 375 and the recovery rate at 98.38%.
Of the 10 persons (6 males, 4 females) from the general population, 5 of them are from Imphal West, 2 from Imphal East and 1 each from Chandel, Kamjong and Kangpokpi, while the lone person who recovered was on home isolation.
Meanwhile, the Health Department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on (i) April 8 by Air India flight AI – 889 in rows 6 – 12 (ii) on April 9 by indigo flight 6E-2251in rows 1 -7 and (II) April 9 by indigo flight 6E – 6181 in rows 1 – 7, to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,486 (General Population — 26,033 and Central Security Personnel — 3,453). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,010 (General Population — 25,573 and CAPF— 3,437). The number of active cases is 101 (general population 89 and CAPF 12).
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on April 8, is 1200 and the cumulative vaccination number is 92472, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 31931 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
