Imphal: Truth is the foundation for any claim. Kuki Christians must stop circulating disinformation and misleading people, including the global Christian brethren for political mileage, the Meitei Resurgence Forum (MReF), an Imphal-based Meitei social organisation, said on Friday.

The MReF, in response to a release by the Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), a leading Kuki civil body, which sought an “immediate intervention and impartial investigation by the central government over the incessant attack on Kuki-Zo dominated areas” and the “recent attempt to disrupt the crucial economic lifeline of the state…by valley-based insurgent groups”, said the Kuki narco-terrorists, along with their supporters, provoked and attacked the Meiteis first to engineer a clash and subsequently leveraging tribal and Christian narratives to portray themselves as victims.

The Forum underlined that to foster peace, it is essential that they (Kukis) apologize for their aggression and engage constructively in peace-building efforts, rather than misleading the public which encourages further terrorist attacks.

It is a political game played by the Kuki narco-terrorists and the Kuki CSOs including KIM are just dancing to the tune of the music played by the narco-terrorists. Ultimately, you’ll lose the political game, T. Ramananada, president, MReF said in a statement.

Quoting a series of Biblical verses on ‘lying’ by KIM, the Forum said they claim to be Christians and could go all the way to New Delhi, Kerala, Europe and North America, playing the Christian card of victimhood, but, truth, virtue and ethical consideration, as the Bible teaches, are missing from KIM, ITLF and Kuki Students Organisation or any other Kuki organisations.

The Forum also listed a series of incidents where Kuki narco-terrorists attacked Meiteis with the full support and involvement of these so-called civil society organisations including an ambush on oil and LPG gas tankers along NH-37 in Tamenglong on 16 April and an IED blast on bridge between Koubru Leikha and Sapermeina in Kangpokpi district on 24 April.

Earlier, there were incidents when Kuki narco-terrorists poured toxic materials into rivers flowing down from Kuki-dominated areas (hills) to the Imphal valley.  These are a few incidents committed by the Kuki narco-terrorists and not by Biren Singh or any other Meitei organization, the MReF added.

Stating that Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) appeared to have forgotten what the Holy Bible says about “lying”, the Forum also urged the Government of India to take immediate action over the ongoing terror attacks on national properties for keeping Manipur under siege by Kuki narco-terrorists to achieve their mischievous goals before it is too late.
