Guwahati: Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Wednesday said that his party will do everything possible to oust `corrupt’ BJP from the north-eastern states.
Banerjee who arrived here in the morning to open Trinamool’s party office in Guwahati said that he is confident that in 2024 Trinamool will win out of 14 parliamentary seats in Assam.
Recently, the TMC appointed Ripun Bora as its new Assam unit president, Bora recently joined the Mamata Banerjee-headed party in April 2022 after quitting Congress.
During his Assam visit, the TMC national general secretary visited the Maa Kamakhya Temple and offered prayers.
Member of Parliament Banerjee addressed workers of the party and launched a blistering attack on the BJP led government in Assam.
“ We will give everything to remove the BJP government in Assam,” Banerjee said.
He said that both the government at the centre and the state have failed miserably to address people’s issues. “We have to fight unitedly to oust them from both centre and the state”, he added.
