Gangtoķ: Widows of Sikkim Scouts troops, dying on Frontier duty, would be given jobs, State Chief Minister P S Tamang announced on Wednesday.
Tamang made the announcement during a meeting with General Officer Commanding of 17 Mountain Divison Major General Gambhir Singh at Mintogang.
The Chief Minister assured support to the Indian Army in defending borders and providing security.
He discussed the future of 176 persons serving,the Army on contract basis under 17 Mountain Division.
The Major General thanked Tamang for his support. and assured the troops would look into the problems of 172 contract workers under the 17 M.Division.
