Imphal: A Voluntary Blood Donation Programme was organised at
Lok Bhavan, Imphal, today by Lok Bhavan, Manipur in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch and the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, Imphal.

Close to 100 donors, including Lok Bhavan officials and staff, CRPF personnel, and students of DM College of Arts, came forward to donate blood in support of this vital humanitarian cause. Their participation reflected a strong spirit of compassion, social responsibility and humanitarian service.

Governor of Manipur visited the blood donation camp and interacted with the blood donors. Appreciating their noble gesture, the Governor encouraged the donors and participants to continue contributing to humanitarian causes. The Governor emphasised the importance and life-saving benefits of voluntary blood donation, noting that every donation can help meet the needs of patients and save precious lives.

Representatives of the Indian Red Cross Society, officials of RIMS and representatives of the Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS) were also present during the programme.

The programme highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving precious lives and encouraged greater public participation in such humanitarian initiatives.
