Kakching: The District Administration Kakching organised Seva Jyoti Yatra at Keirak today as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, with bike rally and foot march held to mark the occasion.
The programme began with bike rally from Wabagai Lamkhai to Sanatombi High School, Keirak. Following the rally, a foot march was taken out from Sanatombi High School and ended at Keithel Lampak Community Hall, Keirak.
Dr. Usham Deben, MLA, Wabagai Assembly Constituency, along with local leaders and representatives, participated in the foot march.
Following the installation of the Seva Jyoti, MLA Dr. Usham Deben, Deputy Commissioner Angeline Renita R (IAS) and other local leaders took part in the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The programme featured a live webcast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha held in New Delhi, which was watched by the gathering and dignitaries.
Deputy Commissioner Angeline Renita R, IAS, administered the Viksit Bharat pledge to the gathering following the webcast.
T. Millikan Singh, AC to DC along with other district-level officers, local leaders, representatives and members of the public, attended the programme.
On the other hand, the Aangan Ka Utsav, held under the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, was organised at Kakching Wairi Pt II Anganwadi Centre by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Cell, under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching.
The programme was attended by 33 participants along with officials, Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers. Activities conducted during the programme included provision of Hot Cooked Meal (HCM) to children, demonstration of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) activities, and handwashing.
