Patna: Sleuths of Bihar Vigilance Bureau today conducted raids at the residence of Labour Officer Deepak Kumar in Patna, Hajipur and Motihari which unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees.
Sources of the Vigilance Bureau said here that on the basis of inputs received about amassing of assets by Labour Officer Deepak Kumar posted in Hajipur, raids were conducted simultaneously at his three locations including residential premises in Patna city locality of Patna. Disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees were unearthed during the raids conducted at three locations.
In residential premises located under the Alamganj police station area of Patna city, huge cash running into crores of rupees was recovered. Note counting machine was used to count the cash recovered.
Passbooks of accounts of various banks, documents relating to investments, jewellery and papers relating to the purchase of plots were also recovered during the operations. The final assessment would be done after operation was completed, sources added.
