Imphal: The Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu arrived here today.
Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister N Biren Singh welcomed him at Imphal airport.
His arrival was delayed as he could not go to Guwahati from Shillong by air due to bad weather conditions. He travelled to Guwahati by road and flew to Imphal.
He is scheduled to inaugurate the Phytopharmaceutical laboratory at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) Takyelpat, Imphal. He will interact with Olympians from the state
and attend a cultural programme at Raj Bhawan.
