Various activities taken up relating to HGT at Senapati

Senapati: Deputy Commissioner, Senapati Mahesh, Chaudhari, said almost 22,000 flags have been continuously distributed to all government employees and the public.

The flags will be hoisted in all the government institutions, health institutions, anganwadi centres, government schools, banks, police posts and even extended to shopping areas, he added.

He also said various activities like mass rally consisting of students, Police personnel, ASHA workers, NYK Volunteers, anganwadi workers and others will be taking part as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav from TNK Village gate to Mini Stadium. He further said a drawing competition will be organised jointly by Senapati Police and Divisional Forest Office on the theme ‘I Dream for Poppy Free Senapati’. 

Zonal Education Office, Senapati will also organise a drawing and painting competition commemorating the 75th year of Independence. He applauded the BDO and village Chairmen and Secretaries for making success on Amrit Sarovar by digging 17 ponds (Sarovar) in the district which will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India on 15th August to mark 75th year of Independence. The National flag will be also hoisted at each by the eldest of the village, he added.

He highlighted that lighting decorations in all the major government offices will be installed. He also said the Chief Electoral officer, Manipur has announced a selfie competition with the National flag and win a mobile phone.

He also highlighted that bike rally to be flagged off by CM as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav will pass through the district. 7-8 school children will be receiving the bikers on the highway, he added.

For the upcoming Independence Day celebration, he mentioned that I-Day will be celebrated in a grand way as before the pandemic period at Mini Stadium. He also said about 15- 20 school contingents along with police personnel, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers will be participating in the parade. 

The will be an exhibition football match between District Administration, Senapati and CSOs, He added. He also urged the public to come forward and give their immense co-operation for the successful programme.
