Patna: The rebel JDU parliamentary board chairman Upendra Kushwaha claiming crisis on existence of JDU convened two days meeting of his party’s close associates on February 19 and 20 to save the organisation.

Kushwaha has written letters to his prominent associates who were with him in his Rashtriya Lok Samta party and Mahatma Phule Samta Parishad requesting them to attend the meeting convened on February 19 and 20 in Sinha library in Patna. In his letter Kushwaha has mentioned that the JDU was getting weaker day by day due to internal issues and claimed that he had been apprising the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about it since declaration of electoral results of assembly elections after formation of grand alliance.

Kushwaha said that he had been raising the issue time to time in various meetings of the party and maintained that he had been trying his best for the past one and half months to save the party. Kushwaha said that he was still continuing with his efforts but Nitish Kumar was not only ignoring his words but was also misconstrued his statements.

Kushwaha said that people who strived for JDU were concerned about their future and aspirations in case the party disintegrates.

He said that the so called specific deal between JD(U) and RJD and the rumours of merger of JDU in RJD have shattered not only the committed leaders and party workers but also the common people. Such situation has created a political void and the time has come when everyone should discuss the scenario for which he requested his old associates within the party to attend the meeting convened by him in Patna.
