Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh reported 21 new COVID patients on Friday while 27 patients were discharged after recovering.
Presently, the total number of active COVID cases in the state is 329, informed state Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal here on Friday.
According to the latest report of COVIC, 18 districts of the state were free from corona. These districts are Aligarh, Baghpat, Banda, Bijnor, Etah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Mahoba, Mau, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Sant Kabirnagar, Shahjahanpur and Unnao.
In the last 24 hours, 2,32,028 COVID samples were tested and till now 7,15,21,631 samples have been investigated in the state.
In the COVID tests done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection were found in 61 districts, while single digit cases were reported in only 14 districts.
So far, 16,86,083 residents of the state have become healthy after getting cured of the corona infection.
The recovery rate of corona in the state is 98.6% and Thursday’s daily positivity rate was 0.01%.
The COVID vaccination figure in UP has crossed 6,68,47,000. On Thursday 7,41,523 people got vaccinated Mr Sehgel said.
On Friday UP is holding a mega vaccination drive in the entire state, he added.
So far, more than 5.62 million citizens have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, which is the highest number of vaccinations done in any single state in the country.
