Lucknow: As Uttar Pradesh recorded 125 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the government on Sunday decided to reduce the night curfew in the state by two hours, an official here said.
From 2100 hrs to 0700 hrs, the night curfew will now be from 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs, additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal said.
There has been a steady decline in active cases since April 30 and currently, there are 1,594 active cases. The recovery rate in the state has further improved to 98.6 pc.
Sehgal said in the past 24 hours, the highest 20 cases of COVID-19 were found in Sultanpur district. All belong to the same family and they have recently returned from Maharashtra.
Not a single new case of infection was found in 29 districts, while single-digit fresh cases were recorded in 45 states.
So far more than 3.71 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state.
