Gangtok: Union Minister of State for Home, Sports & Youth Affairs Nisith Pramanik on Monday handed over 104 appointment orders to the youths of Sikkim, Bengal and Bihar here.
The ‘Rojgar Mela’ held by Indo-Tibetan Border Police, led by Deputy Inspector General, Sanjay Kumar, was attended by youth from Sikkim,Bihar and West Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed the newly appointed candidates through Video Conference. “You are Amrit Rakshak of this Amrit Kal and my biggest strength in bringing about change in the governance and government,” said the PM.
“You are beginning the most important journey of life,” said PM Modi.
He highlighted the changes in the recruitment process, making it simpler.
Minister Pramanik, said the Rojgar Mela has been initiated by the Centre at the behest of the PM to generate employment opportunities for the youth. He handed out 104 appointment letters to the youth for service in CRPF, BSF SSB,and ITBP.
Out of the total 104 newly recruited youth, 7 were Sikkimese,70 from West Bengal and 27 were from Bihar.Â
