Umashanker Singh appointed new BSP leader

On Thursday Guddu Jamali, the present party leader in the legislature had resigned from all party posts.

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has appointed senior party MLA Uma Shanker Singh as the party leader in both houses of the Uttar Pradesh legislature on Friday.

The announcement was made by Mayawati during a press conference here.

Umashanker Singh is the MLA from Rasra seat in Ballia district.

On Thursday Guddu Jamali, the present party leader in the legislature had resigned from all party posts. He also tendered his resignation from the state assembly too.

Jamali is the MLA from Mubarakpur seat in Azamgarh.
