Churachandpur: The culmination programme of Bijli Diwas (Ujjwala Bharat, Ujjwala Bhavishya) was jointly organised by Churachandpur District Administration and MSPDCL Churachandpur Division as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Power@2047’ here Saturday. The event was organized under the auspices of MoP & MNRE, the Government of India in association with the government of Manipur.
Vungzagin Valte, MLA, Thanlon AC was the Chief guest of the function. It was also attended by and SChinlunthang, MLA, Singngat AC; Sharath Chandra Arroju, DC, Churachandpur; Ranjeet Thakur, General Manager, NHPC Loktak, SDO/BDOs of different blocks, Chief Executive Officer of ADCC, Divisional Forest Officer and other DLOs, CSO leaders and beneficiaries.
In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted how far the Power department has progressed within a decade. Round-the-clock power supply to far-flung areas of the district itself bears testimony to the government’s achievements recorded in the power sector, he said. He also emphasized the realization of the “One Nation, One Grid, One Rate” ambition, promising uniform pricing and facilitation of efficiency and renewable energy integration.
Screening of key achievements under the power sector, presentation of cultural items, staging of play were important highlights of today’s programme.
Later, PM’s launching of RDSS scheme and national portal for solar rooftops, his speech and interactions with beneficiaries were watched live.
