Imphal: A joint team of the Indian Army and Manipur police apprehended two cadres of the proscribed outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) from Lairongthel Pitra under Thoubal district on Monday.
The two cadres have been identified as Chanam Pritam Singh @ Thoungamba, 20 and Sanabam Ibungo Meitei @ Langamba, 20.

The apprehended cadre were found in possession of one 9mm Pistol, one 0.32 Pistol, ammunition and other war-like stores.
The apprehended cadres alongwith recovered stores have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and disposal, stated a press note from the PRO (Defence), Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh..
