Guwahati: Two persons are reported missing in a boat capsize in Sonkosh river in Gossaigaon, Assam on Wednesday.
Three other women who narrowly escaped are critically injured after falling into the Sonkosh river while trying to save themselves.
Ramisa Khatun, and Shafia Bibi are reportedly missing after the boat accident.
The women were returning back to their homes after collecting wood for cooking purposes while being ferried on the boat.
The boat suddenly turned turtle drowning the occupants of the boat following which three women were rescued while two others continue to remain missing.
SDRF and district administration of Gossaigaon are carrying out the rescue works.
