Two-day eSHRAM registration camp held at Bishnupur

The registration camp conducted the enrolment and registration of beneficiaries smoothly at PRC Hall, DC Office Complex, Bishnupur.

Bishnupur: In all 114 beneficiaries registered themselves in the Two Day eSHRAM registration camp jointly organized by the District Administration, Bishnupur and Department of Information Technology (DIT), Bishnupur along with the Common Service Centres (CSCs)/Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

The registration camp conducted the enrolment and registration of beneficiaries smoothly at PRC Hall, DC Office Complex, Bishnupur. On the first day, 41 beneficiaries registered for eSHRAM while 73 got registered on the second day.

Informatics Officer and state in charge, Meena Langpoklakpam, also visited the registration camp on the first day. District Informatics Officer, (DIT), Bishnupur Keisham Jayabati and officials concerned of the District Administration supervised the overall process of the camp.

DIO, (DIT), said that eSHRAM portal had been developed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with AADHAAR.  The registration requires AADHAR Number, Mobile number linked with AADHAAR and Savings Bank Account number with IFSC code.

She added that beneficiaries can also self-register through the official link https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/self. After registering, he/she will get an Accidental Insurance cover of 2 Lacs under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), she said.

Any Unorganised Worker who is a home based-worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker in the unorganised sector including a worker in the organised sector who is not a member of ESIC or EPFO or a Government employee can register in the eShram (NDUW) Portal.
