Imphal: A combined team of Kangpokpi Police Station, Sapormeina Police Station and Leimakhong Police Station led by Sheimang Khongsai, DSP/GSPM and under the supervision of SP Kangpokpi conducted random Checking at Leimakhong on Wednesday.
During the checking, the team seized 100 ( hundred) soap cases of Heroin no. 4 powder (weighing about 4.080 Kg including the weight of soap cases) which were kept concealed in Eco-Sports Car bearing number TR01BD0259.
The vehicle along with two mobile phones were seized and Thangminlen Kipgen(32 yrs) son of Satlun Kipgen of Pangjang Village, Saikul-Kangpokpip District and Ngamboi Haokip(31 yrs) son of Jangmang Haokip of Kaprang Village, Churachandpur District were arrested.
A regular case has been registered at Sapormeina PS for further investigation, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police .
