Tuesday sees 3 deaths, 231 positive cases, 231 recoveries in Manipur

Of the 3 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, 2 were from Imphal West and 1 from Imphal East. 2 of the deceased persons had co-morbidities while none of them were vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1815.

Imphal: Manipur registered 3 Covid related deaths, 231 new positive cases (229 general population 2 CAPF) and 231 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Of the 3 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, 2 were from Imphal West and 1 from Imphal East. 2 of the deceased persons had co-morbidities while none of them were vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1815.

 The 231 persons (105 males, 124 females) from the general population who tested positive include 134 from Imphal West, 37 from Imphal East, 17 from Churachandpur, 10 each from Thoubal and Ukhrul, 5 from Bishnupur, 4 each from Kangpokpi and Noney, 3 each from Kakching and Senapati, 2 from Tengnoupal and 1 from Kamjong.

Altogether, 3,324 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.9 %.

Of the 231 persons who were discharged, 82 were from home isolation, 90 from CCCs, 37 from CHICs, 6 from RIMS and 16 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.23 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,17,461 (General Population – 1, 13,287, Central Security Personnel 4,174). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 13,287 (General Population – 1, 08,898, Central Security Personnel – 4,134). The number of active cases is 2,614 (General Population – 2,579, Personnel – 35).

The total number of doses administered on September 13, 2021, is 5,806 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,00,363 (1st dose 12,01,850, 2nd dose 3,98,511)

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 14 is 590 out of which 485 are general beds while 105 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 14 is 3467 out of which 787 are occupied and 2680 are vacant.
