Tripura Govt to fill up 1386 posts in three months

As per the policy of the state government, at least 50 percent of posts will be filled up with females.

Agartala: The council of ministers in a meeting on Tuesday decided to fill up altogether 1386 posts of different grades in various departments including 1000 Constables in police, 100 Physical Instructors, 60 Agricultural Officers, and 25 Supervisors of ICDS in the next three months, said Information minister Sushanta Chowdhury.


He indicated that this government has only six months time to complete the tenure but, pending promises are huge. The government had the promised to fill up all the vacant posts in the departments along with regularization of the service of all employees working in various central governments’ mission projects and create 50,000 annual job opportunities.


As per the policy of the state government, at least 50 percent of posts will be filled up with females.


Chowdhury however, stated that the cabinet has also decided to extend the die-in-harness benefit to the married daughter if her family belongs to an economically weaker category and does not work in the government sector.


However, the married woman needs to get no objection from her in-law’s house to get the government job. And, to consider her for die-in-harness benefit, the income of her husband will be a determining factor.


“If the husband or son of the married daughter of the deceased government employee is employed in government service or having economic solvency, such married daughter shall not be considered for the benefit,” Chowdhury clarified adding that the state government had been found in the existing norms except for spouse or the son and unmarried daughter is getting the benefit.
