Tripura CM calls on PM, urges to sanction new projects

During his maiden meeting with the PM after becoming the CM of the Northeastern state, Saha urged to sanction new projects in different sectors including health and railways.

During his maiden meeting with the PM after becoming the CM of the Northeastern state, Saha urged to sanction new projects in different sectors including health and railways.

“Delighted to meet the dynamic global leader Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji after assuming charge as Chief Minister Tripura. Sought his blessings and guidance to dedicate myself for the overall development of the state,” he wrote in a tweet.

In another tweet, Saha said, ” I requested Hon’ble PM to sanction new projects in the health,railways,highways, airways and infrastructural segments for the overall development in Tripura.”

Earlier in the day, the CM called on President Ram Nath Kovind here.

“Extremely honoured to have the opportunity of meeting the Hon’ble President of India Ramnath Kovind ji at Rashtrapati Bhawan today,” Saha, who recently took over as the CM of Tripura, wrote in a social media post.

Saha, was accompanied by his Swapna Saha.

The CM also met Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed several issues pertaining to the Northeastern state.

The Defence Minister while apprising about their meeting in a tweet wrote, “I am confident that he will take his state forward on road to progress and prosperity. I also wished him a successful tenure ahead.”
