Pune:To celebrate ‘Rama Navmi’, Kannada Sangha, Pune is organizing a bi-lingual musical program ‘Ram Mantrava Japiso’ on March 30 where Marathi and Kannada devotional songs will be presented.
The entry to the program to be held at Shakuntala Jagganath Shetty auditorium, Dr Kalmadi Shamarao Highschool premises in Erandwane.
The program will start with performance of renowned Carnatic vocalist Vidushi Nandini Rao Gujar, who has performed in around 1500 programs. She started singing from the age of six and has received many awards.
It will be followed by performance of well-known sitarist and vocalist Ustad Rais Bale Khan, an exponent of Dharwad Gharana. A seventh-generation artist, known to have made Sitar popular in southern India, Ustad Rais Bale Khan will recite devotional songs. The program will be moderated by writer and Professor Gururaj Kulkarni.
