Imphal: Super 50 is an Indian Army initiative, supported by SBI Foundation and NIEDO, providing 12 months free residential coaching to deserving students of Manipur for competitive examinations such as IIT-JEE, NEET, ICAR, NEST-NISER, IISER and CUET (UG). Following two successful years and excellent results in guiding students towards academic excellence, the selection process for the fifth batch is planned shortly, with the written examination scheduled on 09 May 2026 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bishnupur. The programme aims to uplift talented youth, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds, through quality education and mentorship.

The selection process will consist of a one-hour preliminary written examination with +4 and -1 marking scheme, comprising 40 questions with 10 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics based on Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Candidates shortlisted through the written examination will subsequently undergo psychological screening and personal interview.

Eligible candidates should have appeared or passed Class 12 (PCM/PCB) with minimum 55% marks from CBSE, State Board or any recognised board and should be eligible for relevant entrance examinations.

The programme offers a structured residential academic environment with renowned faculty from across the country, study material, computer lab, fully digitised testing facility, in-depth academic modules, soft skills development and overall supervision of the Indian Army.

The Super 50 initiative continues to serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the aspiring youth of Manipur by nurturing talent and promoting educational excellence.
