Sunday sees active cases go up to 469, positivity rate to 3.6% in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur registered one Covid related death, 68 new positive cases and 12 recoveries in the last 24 hour leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 68 persons from the general population who tested positive, 26 are from Imphal West, 25 from Imphal East, seven from Senapati, four each from Kakching and Thoubal and one each from Chandel and Kangpokpi.  Altogether, 1,905 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.4 %.

Meanwhile, s12 persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from CCCs, five from home isolation and one from JNIMS. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.03 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 26,156 out of which 1,23,676 have recovered, leaving 469 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on January 8, 2022, is 4,503, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,48,089 (1st dose 13,40,502, 2nd dose 10,07,587).
