Stay away from R-Day programmes: Nagaland’s ENSF

The ENSF resolved not to participate in army civic programmes and not accept any official invitation. The directive shall be strictly implemented in the entire Eastern Nagaland jurisdiction, the ENSF said.

Kohima: The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), comprising all the six student bodies of the eastern part of Nagaland, on Sunday directed all its six federating units to comply with the directive of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization’s (ENPO), which has called for staying away from the Republic Day celebration on January 26.

In a directive, the ENSF has asked the Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU), Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) AND Yimchungru Akheru Arihako (YAA or Yimchungru Students Union) that all public and students of Eastern Nagaland are to abstain from taking part in the Republic Day celebrations.

The ENSF resolved not to participate in army civic programmes and not accept any official invitation. The directive shall be strictly implemented in the entire Eastern Nagaland jurisdiction, the ENSF said.

The ENSF also appealed to all the concerned to cooperate with the directives and to honour the resolution until further communique from the federation.

It also cautioned that any unwanted consequence upon its dereliction shall be the sole responsibility of the violators.
