Sonia Gandhi, on Wednesday , had visited Bheemana Kolli Temple at HD Kote near Mysuru and offered prayers on the occasion of Vijayadashami celebrations.

“Vijayadashami, there will be Vijaya in Karnataka. We are proud that Sonia Gandhi has come to walk on the streets of Karnataka. We are coming to power in the state, and BJP is on the way to closing its shop,” he said.

The yatra, which kickstarted on September 7 from Tamil Nadu’s Kanyakumari, will pass through Karnataka for 21 days covering 511 km in the state.

The yatra had entered Karnataka at Gundlupet on September 30 from Tamil Nadu’s Gudalur. It also had passed through Kerala.

The objective of the yara is to fight against the “divisive” politics of the ruling BJP governments at the Centre and states, and also to awaken the masses against the dangers of “economic inequalities”, “social polorisation” and “political centralisation.”
