Six policemen killed in clash in Balochistan

Islamabad: Six policemen were killed and two others injured in a clash with miscreants in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province, the provincial home minister confirmed.

The incident happened in Jaffarabad district on Wednesday where an exchange of firing took place between the policemen and the miscreants, the home minister Mir Ziaullah Langove told media.

He said that the miscreants remained involved in robberies and other heinous crimes in the province and were wanted by the police.

The miscreants fled the scene after the shoot, and a search operation is underway to nab them, he said.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Police have cordoned off the incident site for further investigation.
