Imphal: Troops and Manipur Police nabbed six militants on Wednesday in Churachandpur district.
Assam Rifles official said Loktak Battalion and Manipur Police apprehended six insurgents including a Self Styled Defence Secretary and External Affairs of Hmar People’s Convention (Democratic) LK HMAR faction in Rengkai village, Churachandpur district .
One 9mm Sig Sauer Pistol along with two magazines and 19 rounds were recovered from the insurgents. The insurgents were reportedly involved in various anti national activities in the past.
The apprehended insurgents and recovered items were handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation.
