Sikkim Assembly session on March 13

Gangtok: Sikkim Legislative Assembly is scheduled to have a day-long session on March 13, prompting the administration to issue prohibitory orders to ensure peace and tranquility.

‘To ensure smooth proceedings inside the Assembly and to maintain sanctity, law & order has to be maintained in the vicinity of SLA. And it is necessary to prohibit people from assembling in groups outside the SLA complex,’ says DM Nikhare.

DM , drawing proceedings under secrion 144 Cr PC 1973 ,has prohibited assembly of 5 or more persons within 3 km radius of the said premises.The order will be effective on 13th March itself with all its relevant clauses.
