Shinde reviews the cleanliness initiative

This activity will be implemented in the backdrop of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi under the 'Swachhata Fortnight-Swachhata Hi Seva'.

Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reviewed the planning of ‘One Date – One Hour’ initiative for cleanliness to be implemented in the state on October one.

This activity will be implemented in the backdrop of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi under the ‘Swachhata Fortnight-Swachhata Hi Seva’.

Swachhta Abhiyan should not only be on paper but should be implemented in reality and this campaign should take the form of a movement, Shinde said and added that under the cleanliness fortnight, on October 1, everyone should give their one hour for cleanliness in the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, chief secretary Manoj Saunik, along with all divisional commissioners, collectors, Municipal commissioners and senior officials of Urban Development Department were present in the review meeting held through video system on Tuesday.
