Kakching: Second Special Gram Sabha under the People’s Plan Campaign 2025-26 for the formulation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2026-27, with the theme “Sabka Yojana, Sabka Vikas” was held today across various locations under Kakching Community Development (CD) Blocks.
The agenda of the meeting focused towards finalization of GPDP 2026-27, discussions & analysis of Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0 Score and discussions on other requirements of the Gram Panchayats.
The Gram Sabha for Irengband Gram Panchayat was held at Gram Panchayat Office, while Wabagai Gram Panchayat convened at Wabagai Yangbi Community Hall. Maibam Uchiwa Gram Panchayat held its session at the Uchiwa Wangma Community Hall, and Irong Chesaba Gram Panchayat at Irong Chesaba Panchayat Ghar.
Officials and representatives from Education-S (ZEO Kakching), Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL), Agriculture, Fishery, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (CAF&PD), District Social Welfare Office (DSWO), Veterinary and Animal Husbandry and other line departments attended the meeting.
The interactive session between Gram Sabha members and departmental representatives was the main highlight of the meetings where members were informed about the schemes, programmes and facilities available under each department. They also explained eligibility criteria & entitlements and informed the public about the documents required for availing benefits under different schemes.
The Gram Sabha will continue for second day tomorrow (July 15, 2026) for Pallel GP at Pallel Maning Community Hall from 12:30 pm, Keirak Gram Panchayat at Keirak Makha Leikai Community Hall from 3:00 pm, Hayel Hangoon Gram Panchayat at Santhel Bazar Community Hall from 9:00 am.
