Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) and the Federal Tourism Agency (Russiatourism) are working to organize the evacuation of Russians from European countries, Rosaviatsiya and Russiatourism said in a joint statement.
The statement notes that due to the partial closure of the airspace, as well as the ongoing restrictions at some Russian airports, Russian citizens abroad may have difficulties returning home.
“The work to organize the evacuation of Russian citizens from European countries is being carried out by the Federal Air Transport Agency together with the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Federal Tourism Agency. After clarifying the required carrying capacities, a schedule will be formed. Russian airlines are ready to fulfill their obligations to passengers and deliver them home, subject to flexible approaches and constructive decisions of the aviation authorities of European countries on this issue,” the agencies said.
The statement says that Russians who find themselves in such a situation need to keep in touch with the tour operator or carrier and must register in the Foreign Assistant mobile application of the Russian Foreign Ministry.Â
