Mumbai: The Rupee on Friday tumbled down 20 paise to 74.08 in the opening trade on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit remained under pressure because of sliding equity market in early trade.

The Rupee unit registered the days high and low at 74.00 and 74.12 respectively against the US Dollar, dealers added.
