Imphal: MLA Sagolband A/C, Rk Imo Singh, along with corporators Rk Jiten Singh and Salam Tiken Singh, joined forces with social workers Shivananda Sharma and Sumitra Takhellambam, along with other committee members, to bring hope and relief to the people of Ward No. 7, 8, 10, and 24.
The initiative saw the distribution of over 120 CMHT (Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang) Cards, issued by the Government of Manipur. These cards were originally enrolled during the inspiring Go To Leikai Program conducted by the Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC). The primary goal of this heartwarming endeavor was to provide much-needed solace to the local community amidst the ongoing turmoil in the state.
The committee members will continue to extend further assistance and will be distributing blankets in a phased manner, to those taking shelter in various relief camps across the region, stated the MLA. The commitment of the MLA doesn’t end here.
Various development projects will also be taken up which include the repair of essential roadways traversing through Sagolband Sayang, Moirang Leirak, Thiyam Leikai, and other critical areas, all geared toward enhancing connectivity and convenience for the community. Moreover, the region is set to witness the inauguration of Community Halls and Clubs, fostering a sense of togetherness and creating spaces for recreational and social activities.
Rk Imo assured to take up construction projects for new drains, clubs, and community halls, proposed earlier from various localities, said a press note issued by the PRO to the MLA.
