Churachandpur: The District Administration, Churachandpur celebrated the 73rd Republic Day at Tuibong Peace Ground, Churachandpur Wednesday.
Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, Yumnam Nelson unfurled the National Tricolour flag and took salute of the marching contingents from 6 Parade Contingents led by SDPO Churachandpur Priscilla Tuboi, comprising of VDF, Civil Police, ASHA Workers, ADCC Sanitary Workers and 1st IRB Band Party.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Yumnam Nelson applauded the frontline workers, doctors, nurses, police dept., ASHAs, different CSOs, PHED, MSPDCL, local bodies and all who are involved in the fight against Covid-19. He urged all the government departments and the people of the district to join hands with the district administration and make Churachandpur the best district in the state.
Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation and awards to 106 outstanding Government employees and March past contingents and performance of cultural items marked the occasion.
Dignitaries attending the event included SP Churachandpur, Shivanand Surve; DLOs and CSO leaders.
