Portal for Haritha Vidyalayam show launched       

The floor shoot of the 100 schools which would be shortlisted for the first round will start in the last week of November.

Thiruvananthapuram: The portal and guidelines of the 3rd edition of the Haritha Vidyalayam Educational Reality Show were launched by Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty here on Wednesday.

The show will be telecast on KITE VICTERS channel in December. The prize money for the schools for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places would be Rs 20 lakh, Rs 15 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh respectively.

Schools that enter the final fund would get Rs 2 lakh each, KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education) CEO K Anvar Sadath said.

Schools can now apply online for the show through the portal ‘hv.kite.kerala.gov.in’ until November 4.

The floor shoot of the 100 schools which would be shortlisted for the first round will start in the last week of November.

Each of these schools would be provided with Rs 15,000. The Haritha Vidyalayam team would visit all schools shortlisted in the first round and would do the video documentation.

“This is an opportunity for our schools to showcase their unique activities to the public and to the world and hence I request all schools to prepare themselves for the first round of the show,” the Minister said.

During the portal launching event, the Minister handed over the first brochure of the Haritha Vidyalayam Educational Reality Show to Theertha S, a student of the Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Cotton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram.

Schools will be shortlisted for the first round of Haritha Vidyalayam Educational Reality Show through parameters such as academic and co-curricular activities, basic facilities, social participation, digital education, campus cleanliness, recognitions won, and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
