Imphal: Chief Medical Officer, Churachandpur, Vumchinpau Tonsing has condemned the “brutal attack and physical assault” by bandh enforcers at Phugakchao on a nurse and her driver on her way to duty at PHC Saikot, Churachandpur on Thursday at around 10:30am.
As per the CMO, the attack led to “serious injuries” to both the nurse and her driver and damage their vehicle.
Stating that the Medical Department, Churachandpur condemned the attack, the CMO appealed not to repeat such an uncivilized act in future to medical staff on duty, especially during this Covid-19 exigencies.
