Petrol price reaches century in Nagaland

Kohima: The much talked about petrol prices reached a century per litre and it reached over Rs. 100 in the entire state yesterday, which will trigger the fare of all types of vehicles.

According to sources Friday the rise of Rs.100 per litre mark in Nagaland after state-owned Oil Marketing Companies increased the prices of two auto fuels, petrol and diesel, which pushed the petrol price and with these the price of petrol has now crossed Rs.100-per litre mark across all the districts in Nagaland.

According to a price notification, the petrol price was increased by 35 paise per litre and diesel by 15 paise per litre, but the increase came after rates stayed silent for three days. As of May 4 last, petrol price has been hiked on 40 occasions while diesel rates have gone up 37 times and have been reduced on one occasion.
