Outreach programme on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organised

As a part of the programme, COVID Appropriate Behaviour was also discussed.

Imphal: A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and COVID-19 was organised at Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School, Imphal by the Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Imphal, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on Wednesday. 

The events of the first Nupi Lal, 1904, second Nupi Lal, 1939, Kuki Rebellion, 1917, the contributions of Hijam Irabot, Jadonang and Rani Gaidiliu, Manipuri Prince Sana Chahi Ahum @Narendrajit Singh who joined the 34th Native Infantry to fight against the British during the Sepoy Mutiny, 1857 and the contributions and leadership of M. Koireng Singh in providing daily ration to the INA at Moirang during the Second World War were discussed on the unsung heroes from Manipur in India’s freedom struggle.

As a part of the programme, COVID Appropriate Behaviour was also discussed.

An on-the-spot quiz contest was also held and prizes along with certificates were distributed to the students, said a press note issued by the Programme-in-charge, Thokchom Anthony
