Imphal: Commemorating the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Assam Rifles continued its initiative by organising a series of commemorative events across Manipur to instil a sense of national pride and provide career orientation to the local youth. These initiatives, held at Holenphai village in Tengnoupal and Ramva in Ukhrul, served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces while fostering a spirit of integration within the border communities.

At Dr Colvil Academy in Holenphai, Tengnoupal, 120 students participated in a vibrant poster-making competition. The participants translated complex themes of sovereignty and national unity into evocative artwork, reflecting a profound respect for the military operations that safeguard the region. Meanwhile, at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Ramva, Ukhrul an interactive session led by the Shakpao Company Operating Base provided 80 attendees, including students and faculty, with a comprehensive overview of the strategic objectives and triumphs of Operation Sindoor.

Through detailed visual presentations and personal narratives of courage, the youth gained a nuanced understanding of leadership and the importance of maintaining regional peace. Beyond the historical commemoration, the interactions focused on career pathways within the Armed Forces, encouraging the next generation to embrace discipline and academic excellence. By bridging the gap between the military and the local populace, these events have significantly strengthened communal trust and offered a constructive outlet for the aspirations of Manipuri youth amidst the evolving security landscape of the state.
