One succumbs to Covid in Manipur Sunday

The lone person who expired is from Ukhru. He had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death in the state due to coronavirus now stands at 2147.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday in Manipur, one person succumbed to Covid-19, four persons tested positive while 22 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

The lone person who expired is from Ukhru. He had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death in the state due to coronavirus now stands at 2147. 

Of the four persons who tested positive, two are from Imphal West and one each from Churachandpur and Kangpokpi. Altogether, 366 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.1 %.

Meanwhile, 22 persons, recovered, 10 from home isolation, nine from discharged, two from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.42 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 677 of which 1, 37,466 have recovered leaving 64 active cases in the state.

As on August 27, 2022, 105 D-type oxygen cylinders and eight B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 28, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which four are occupied and 34 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which five are occupied and 57 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 27, is 1,622 the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,71,635 1st dose 16,28,137, 2nd dose 13,02,221) and precautionary dose is 2,41,277.
