Imphal: One person died, 94 persons from the general population tested positive and 4 persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 am of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The person who expired Tuesday at Thoubal District Hospital is a 29-year-old resident of Thoubal. With this death, the cumulative toll due to the coronavirus pandemic now stands at 378
The 94 positive persons (58 males, 36 females) include 44 from Imphal West, 14 from Senapati, 13 from Imphal East, 9 from Bishnupur, 4 from Churachandpur, 3 from Thoubal, 2 each from Kakching and Tamenglong and 1 from Ukhrul.
All 4 persons who recovered were on home isolation. The recovery rate in the state has now dropped down to 97.44%.
Meanwhile, Health Department has instructed air passengers who travelled to the state on (i) April 17 by Indigo Flight 6E-2615 in rows 3-11 (ii) by Air Asia Flight 15-783 in rows 3-11 and in rows, 22-28 and (iii) on Air India flight AI– 889 in rows 1– 13, to inform Covid Common Control Room 1800343818 or respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,869 (General Population — 26,383 and Central Security Personnel — 3,486). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 29,106 (General Population — 25,665 and CAPF— 3,441). The number of active cases is 365 (general population 344 and CAPF 41).
As per the latest information, the total number of vaccination 110614.
The official release further advised all persons above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated immediately at vaccine centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, and select private hospitals.
